CAPILLARY VESSEL TREATMENT

CAPILLARY VESSEL TREATMENT

WHAT IS CAPILLARY VESSEL TREATMENT?

Capillary vessel dilation commonly occurs in the face area and legs and at times in various other parts of the body, causing a discomforting reddish look on skin.

Although it does not lead to a serious health problem on skin patients may have an aesthetics concern because of the reddishness. In order to fix this look, the laser systems of today’s technology are used.

Commonly requested capillary vessel treatments:

Rosacea (rose disease)

Telangiectasia (reddishness around nose and cheekbone)

Portwine stain (wine stain)

Sensitive skin, over-exposure to sun rays, genetic factors, usage of medicine containing cortisone, excessive oestrogen levels post-pregnancy, excessive alcohol usage are the main causes of capillary vessel enlargement.

This treatment is performed by ND. Yag (1064 mm) laser system in our clinic. It is treated through the deformation of capillary vessels by condensing the laser rays onto the areas that are closer to the skin and visible.

The treatment is performed for the people with lower pain threshold with topical anaesthetic which drastically reduces pain. Post-surgery side effects such as irritation, wound and crustation may be observed on skin. The treatment on the facial area is planned as a total of three-four sessions, each session being per three weeks.

What are the precautions post-surgery?

Post-capillary vessel treatment the patient should avoid from the exposure to sun for ten days and protect their skin with the barrier creams and moisturisers that the doctor recommends.
